Schedule

2nd-5th grade students will learn how to use a loom to make warm winter hats with yarn. No experience needed. The first hat will be for themselves, after that, students will choose whether to give the hats they make to a friend or loved one or to donate them to a homeless shelter. Students will be able to keep looms so that they can continue to give the gift of warmth. We will be collecting donations of leftover yarn scraps to learn how to turn scraps into beautiful and functional clothing items.

This session will be led by P2P teacher, Stacey Monahan and session dates run for 5 weeks on Tuesdays beginning the week of January 26th and ending the week of February 23rd from 3:15 to 4:15 in the Elementary Learning Lab.

If your child will need to to be place in Champions after any sessions, please contact Stacey Monahan: stacey.monahan@bvsd.org to make arrangements.
